Bila orang tau Cik Panda melacur melancong ke luar negara, mesti kedengaran komen-komen yang berbunyi
Our place is just a walking distance to the city and most main attractions. We walked over to St. George's Terrace and had breakfast in Basilica, an amazing boutique coffee place where most office workers are.
At the apartment, Miss Polly is kind enough to let us check in at 9am. We settled in, showered and took a nap before going out again at noon for lunch, sight seeing and grocery shopping.
"Perghhh orang banyak duit, boleh lah melancong pergi Australia."
"Banyaknya duit kau boleh jalan pergi oversea."
Ketahuilah di zaman kehebatan Air Asia sekarang ni, everyone can fly. It's not a matter how much money you have but what is your priority and how willing you are to spend your money.
Orang yang cakap Cik Panda banyak duit tu terima kasih la ye sebab sesungguhnya kata-kata itu satu doa. Wakakaka
Semua orang ada duit tapi depends dengan priority masing-masing.
Cik Panda bukan kaki shopping, bukan kaki barang-barang branded, bukan jenis suka makan mewah-mewah, bukan kaki gadget ribu riban. Prinsip Cik Panda, biarlah beg RM50 janji ada RM450 di dalam. Bukannya beg RM450 tapi cuma ada RM50 di dalam.
Soalan yang lebih Cik Panda berminat nak jawab ialah
"Berapa duit you habis pakai pergi Perth?"
Ketahuilah bahawa tidak banyak pun duit habis. Bila pergi ramai2, dapat save sikit sebab boleh share cost. Lagipun Cik Panda pergi tengok tempat orang, budaya orang bukan sebab nak shopping semata2.
I'll cover the total cost in the following post.
So the four of us departs from KLIA2 at 12am and arrived in Perth International Airport at around 6am.
Tips for hassle free entry into Australia: DO NOT bring any food, even from the airplane into their airport because they are VERY VERY strict. Well, dry stuff like instant noodles or 3 in 1 drinks are okay though. Just for your own consumption.
At 6am it is already SO bright. It's summer there so I supposed the days are longer. We took a maxi taxi ($46), about 20 minutes to Mountway Holidays Apartment in Perth Central Business District (RM460 per pax for 5 nights)
It's not a very swanky place but it's affordable plus it has most of the facilities (including wifi) and the location is great. So we don't care if it's a bit old-fashioned looking.
It was still so early and their office only opens at 8am so we left our luggage and walk around the city, looking for breakfast.
This is Mount Street where our apartment is located and this photo was taken at 6.50am! Those are beautiful Jacaranda trees. |
Their croissant with jam and butter is to die for! flaky yet soft. |
We had lunch at a roadside kebab place. Eating in Perth is quite pricey though. It's at least $10 (RM32) per meal. Their portion is quite huge so you can always share.
We walked over to Hay Street, Murray Street where the shopping malls/street and underground train station are located. Bought groceries like egss, juice, fruits and bread in Woolsworth before heading back. Pack some fruits and chips then walked over to King's park where we had a picnic.
It is a beautiful park over-looking Perth CBD and Swan River. The weather was beautiful, sunny yet a bit chilly.
