I used to attend St Ann's Church in Padawan and I loved this particular priest, Fr.Joseph Goh.
The way he is, how he talks and gives his sermon is soooo different from other priest. Some priest, when they preach, is right out of the textbook or biblish, so condescending that you can't help but feel your place is in hell.
Another priest that I always love is Fr.Terry Burke. I always always love his sermons. Very inspiring.
Fr. Joseph Goh is very soft spoken, down to earth, humble, inspiring and most of all, non-judgemental. He is the perfect example of how you can be religious but not judgmental.
To me, he felt more like a wise brother than a priest. Someone who guide you religiously and yet understand your human struggles. I always look forward to attend the mass, just to hear his sermons.
In fact when my father passed away, he was the priest who celebrated the funeral mass. He was the one who came over to the house for blessings and prayer when my dad was sick. He is one of the best priest I've ever met.
I was sad when a few years back he left the church to pursue his interest.
And then one day, while at work, a customer walked in. I couldn't recognised him at first. But when he chatted to my colleague, the way he talks and his voice sounded familiar. But it didn't ring any bell yet.
Not until he walked out of the store.
Look up his name and yes, he is now Dr. Joseph Nicholas Goh (he is a Phd graduate). Googled his name and came across his page and I couldn't be more inspired by this person!

"I try to see God present in a human person even before I ask him or her what his or her religious beliefs are, or even if he or she has no religious beliefs. I am more than eager to learn from people’s notions of life and faith, and I am convinced that those notions will help me to become a better human person." - excerpt from his blog
If I would remember him there and then, I would tell him that he inspires me to become a better Christian, but most of all, to become a better human being.
