Cyn's Whey Protein Pick

Lately my friends, who wanted to start taking whey protein have asked for my recommendations.

But before that, read this first to understand protein supplements better. 

Which to take is depending on your fitness goal. Here I'm only recommending basic whey protein for beginner and amateurs.

1. BSN Syntha-6


This is the first one I bought. It's a multi-phase protein. Meaning it's a combination between fast, medium and slow release protein. It has whey isolate, concentrate, casein, egg protein among other things. 

In terms of taste, this is the best tasting protein.

First time taking this, it was okay but then later I can't digest this and had diarrhea immediately after consumption. 

The protein per serving 22g/scoop.


2. OPTIMUM NUTRITION GOLD STANDARD 100% WHEY


This is by far my favourite brand. It's whey isolate. Usually whey isolate's taste is quite mild (not to heavy or milky or creamy). In fact the double rich choc flavour taste like milo kosong. 

In the morning, I mixed it with cold Milo UHT. SEDAP!

Protein per serving is higher, 24g/scoop. Lower calorie and cholesterol. 


3. MUSCLETECH (MT) ESSENTIAL PLATINUM WHEY


Currently I'm using this. Quality wise is almost the same with Optimum Nutrition. But the taste is different. MT products are known for their distinctive sweetness and after taste. So this is quite sweet and has that weird after taste. 

But if you like sweet and milky, this is the one for you. 

Of course there are other brands in the market. It all depends on you. The most important thing to look out for is the protein type (isolates, concentrate etc), protein per serving, and the quality of the product. Choose from a reputable brand.

And once again, taking a whey protein won't make you bulky.

Tajuk mengundang kontroversi Sis ni bukan apa rajin pergi gym, selain nak bersenam, iols juga suka mencuci mata. In case you have not read the part 1, click HERE .  So on the 3rd day we went island hopping to Phi Phi Island where the movie "The Beach" featuring Leonardo Dicaprio was filmed.  Bought the package while wandering around Patong Beach but you can get these island hopping packages anywhere in Phuket.  Like many other things in Phuket, you have to bargain.
