Water - The Fountain Of Life

Not EVERYONE requires exactly eight glasses of water every day. The Institute of Medicine has determined that an adequate intake (AI) for men is roughly 3 liters (about 13 cups) of total beverages a day. The AI for women is 2.2 liters (about 9 cups) of total beverages a day.

So the traditional rule should really be stated as: “Drink at least eight 8-ounce glasses of fluid a day,” because all fluids (juice, coffee, tea, other beverages and some foods like soup) count toward your daily total.

But none the less, water is important for our health. About 60% of our body consisted of water and many important bodily function such as digestion, absorption, circulation, creation of saliva, transportation of nutrients, and maintenance of body temperature is dependent on water. 



Why should i drink more water?

How to drink more water?
  1. Carry a water bottle with you everywhere you go. 
  2. Make water your drink of choice. Consciously choose water instead of sweetened beverages.
  3. Quench your thirst with water and not sweetened beverages.
  4. Drink water before and after meal, after you get up in the morning and before you go to bed.
  5. Put a bottle of water on your work desk. If it is there, you are more likely to drink it.

In case you have not read the part 1, click HERE .  So on the 3rd day we went island hopping to Phi Phi Island where the movie "The Beach" featuring Leonardo Dicaprio was filmed.  Bought the package while wandering around Patong Beach but you can get these island hopping packages anywhere in Phuket.  Like many other things in Phuket, you have to bargain.
