Beauty and Health Tips Using Limes.



Limau nipis and limau kasturi surely does more than a wonderful cooling drink on a hot day. 

It provides vitamin C and flavenoids, both containing antioxidant, antibiotic and disinfectant agents beneficial for clear skin.

Here are a few beauty and health tips using these citrus. It's cheap, natural and organic, worth the try.

1. Lime juice wash for acne-free, clear and bright skin

My friend  shared this tip with me and i have been doing this for almost a month now. I have a super oily skin and since then, I've noticed that it has become less oily, smoother, brighter and glowing. 

Lime juice can wash away your acne in two to three weeks with daily topical use. Cut the lime into half and apply the juice directly onto your acne and allow the juice to dry for 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse it off with cold water. 

Do this about twice a day. It might sting and itch a little bit but no pain, no gain right?

2. Lime or lemon drink
In the earlier post I have mentioned about The Lemon Water Detox. This is similar to that. A lime or lemon juice drink helps clear up acne by detoxifying the body, adding the healing and antioxidant powers of vitamin C and providing collagen to your skin, reports Hair and Beauty Tips website. 

Squeeze the juice of one lime/ half a lemon into a glass of lukewarm water. Drink it first thing upon awakening in the morning. 

3. Brighter and smoother knee and elbow
Our knee and elbow tend to be darker and dryer than other body parts. Cut a lime into two, then rub each halves to your knees.  You can do it anytime, before taking a shower or even if you are watching TV, but do not forget to rinse it if you do not want a dry skin.  

4. For smooth and silky hair
You can use the lime skin.  Cut the lime into half, rub it to your hair before you take a bath.  You can do it an hour before bath.  It will leave your hair smooth and silky. 

Apparently it helps with dandruff too. Tried and tested, it works!

5. Brighter armpit?
you can use it to brighten your armpit.  Cut the lime into halves (it is understood), rub the lime unto your pit (rub it gently so it won't hurt your skin). Leave it for 30 minutes.  Do it before taking a shower or a bath.

  1. When u mentioned about lemon, my eyes became small and my whole body was shaking because i imagined how sour lemon was. The same thing happened when someone mentioned about asam paya to me. Haha!

    Well, i know lemon has many uses but what i didn't know was, that lemon can whiten our armpit. Hahaha! I loike....
