In recent years, more and more gyms have sprung up. If you walk around, more and more guys are getting buff. More have joined gym, it's part of the lifestyle nowadays. In a way it's good that more people are health-conscious and taking care of themselves. But then they start to be too obsess.
Anyway, yesterday a few friends and i went to a fitness studio/gym. Another two was already a member while another friend and i were just checking it out. Since i was very interested in zumba, aerobic and other classes they offered and since i finally have a work out buddy, i was thinking why not just check it out. Sambil2 cuci mata di gym la konon.
The manager briefed us, showed us around and did a body analysis for us.Then came this trainer who explained the result to us. You would think that eating healthy, exercise regularly and have a normal BMI would be enough. With this trainer, everything about my body analysis is wrong. Okay so my fat mass was excessive but who doesn't? Well maybe if you are all skin and bones la.
"Your BMI is normal BUT your skeletal muscle mass very weak. Your bla bla bla is normal BUT bla bla bla is over. This is not good."
While comparing our analysis, he was saying
"Oh kalau tengok dari analysis ni, body dia ada tak balance sikit tapi kalau nak banding dari segi strength, stamina and endurance, dia lagi bagus la. you ada teruk sikit la. You kalau jalan sikit, akan aiyoo sakit kaki..angkat barang berat, aiyo sakit muscle.."
Pffftt...I think i exercise more regularly than her, i can walk all day without any problem and that's the analysis i got? Malam ni juga saya pegi bakar tu mesin.
Apparently my ideal weight is 51.8kg. The lightest i ever achieved was 52kg and already i think that 's too thin without curves and such which is essential in making a woman sexy. It's a business and i know they are trying to persuade us to take the personal trainer course which can cost at least RM500 per month but there's no need to say all that. He should have known about our lifestyles first before making all those assumptions. And in my humble opinion, they need a woman-tailored consulting/analysis.
Nothing is ever right. Meh.
