Mat Salleh Boyfriend Is Better?

 I have known a lot of ladies who wanted a mat salleh/white/foreigner boyfriend. My partner-in-crime repeatedly chant this "scruffy look, biceps and tattoos are must." ahem. 

 Sometimes it's like you strike a lottery if you managed to get a white boyfriend. It's like a trophy. 

 Are local men not good enough? Where are all the good local man anyway?

 Why these girls wanted a foreign man? 

 They said mat salleh are more romantic, respectful of woman and treat them as an equal. They are also more thoughtful and are generous with their public display of affection. 

 My aunt married a British. On their 30th wedding anniversary, her husband got up early and bought her a bouquet of flower and a card. Such a simple gesture but not many man can do that. Even after 30 years of marriage, they still hold hands when they walked. 

 I'm not saying local man are not good enough. There are still good ones around. I think it all depends on how they were brought up.

 I don't mean to offend anyone but most local man were brought up with the idea that women belong in the kitchen. Woman do all the housework. Most of the time, they are like a maid. 

 Those idea might be practical 20-30 years ago when majority of woman are housewife. Now more and more woman are working to provide for their family. Woman have more freedom and choice. They are more empowered. 

 Although i agree that it is the wife's responsibility to take care of the family, it's inconsiderate and plain selfish to expect a wife to come home from work, cook and clean while the husband sit on the couch and not lift a finger to help with anything. 

 I know of a guy who said this to me.

 "It's so lonely and unmanageable being single. If you are my girlfriend, you can cook and iron clothes for me. At least there's somebody who can take care of me." 

 What the heck?! I'm not even his girlfriend and he's already thinking of making me his maid? Are you that incompetent that you can't manage your life?

Well anyway, in my humble opinion, it all depends on how their mother brought them up. If a guy's mum did everything for him, he would expect his girlfriend/wife to do the same. 

 A friend of mine is very independent as his mother taught him and his siblings to do house chores since young. He washed his own clothes and his room is always clean and tidy. He's amazing in grocery shopping and is a wonderful cook. 

 His wife is one lucky lady.

 Public display of affection is also influenced by upbringing, social and cultural factor. Deep down, all woman want to be romanced, wants their other half to show affection. Not only in the early years of courtship but if possible, all the way to the end of their life. 

 But we Asians are always so confined by what is acceptable by the society and culture. It is "yucky", "inappropriate" to show affection in the public. Most man are only affectionate in the "honeymoon" period. While local man are quite reserved in showing public affections, Mat salleh on the other hand are not stingy with it. 

 But anyway, boys will be boys. Doesn't matter if they are mat salleh or not, essentially all woman wanted a good man to protect and cherish them. 

 Kalau mat salleh pun, perangai macam setan bagus tidak payah kan. 

 Ok bye.

Clingynya Kau!

Orang ni menyemakkan hidup iols mulanya kat SINI , SINI ,  SINI ,  SINI . Maigawd.  Berepisod, berseason-season persis drama melayu. Lama-lama iols boleh jadi gila melayan manusia kurang kasih sayang macam ni tau. Setelah diceramah oleh iols lagi sekali tentang memberi ruang dan masa, 2 hari kemudian dia text lagi "Hey. Sorry ganggu. Nak tanya u, joint dekat siku and shoulder I rasa kering2. Apa I kena buat? Nak workout rasa tak selesa" So iols rekomenlah kan glucosamine and fish oil. And then dia buat loyar buruk pasal fish oil capsule, "Telan terus, jgn pecah dalam mulut sudah" Iols memang tak bolehlah berkomunikasi dengan dia ni, I found him more and more annoying.  "Mcm mana blh pecah pakcik oi.
