Gym Is My Boyfriend


So the other day my partner in crime tag me in a photo that she says reminds her of me.

It described me to a T.

Gym is not my new boyfriend. It always has been my boyfriend.  

Unlike most guys that I met, the gym does not give empty promises, does not disappoint, never demands, always leaves you satisfied, made me feel beautiful and sexy, made me a better person physically, mentally, and emotionally. 

And never try to get into my panties.

I'm such a gym junkie that most of the time, I schedule my social life, even dating around my fitness classes. 

I clicked with a guy on Tinder. Despite the fact that he's obviously just wanted to get into my pants, we got on really well pretty fast and he really wanted to see me. My typical response to anyone who wanted a slice of my time would be 

"I'll only be free on Monday and Thursday evenings. Other days I'll be working and gyming. If you really want to see me, it's either after gym or you come to my workplace."

So he drove all the way from Wangsa Maju to the gym I attended and waited while I finish my workout. 

We went for supper. It was nice, to me at least but after that, he went cold. 

Oh well, that's the thing with dates. You'll never know if it's a one-time thing or long-term thing. It's like gambling. 

But hey, this is Cik Panda/Mak Ayam talking. I don't chase people. If he went cold, I'll go frozen. Satu pergi, sepuluh mari. Katanyaaa

On another note, there is this one guy who I connected with a few months back. 

It was a slow and steady kinda thing. Like Hi Hi Bye Bye, how was your day? He went for a vacation and bought me a souvenir. But we never really make an arrangement to meet up, until a few days ago. 

Which I canceled because I wasn't up for it. I was tired. Cik Meow, the ever motivator and kaki pengaruh said

"Alaaaa yang, pergi je lah jumpa D tu. Tak rugi pun. Jumpa kat Bangsar je kan. pergi lah pergi lahhh."

And no. Cik Meow didn't manage to influence me. Me is tired.

But D and I arranged to meet the next day. In the gym I attended (he's a member too)and we planned to work out together.

A true fitness junkie that we are, we had our first date in the gym. Rare I tell chuuuu. I never had a workout as a first date activity but it was nice! 

He came and we shook hands. It was a nice gesture. I was there early so I was finished with my sets. It's his back day and he taught me to do back workouts. Sharing tips, correcting my form, and encouraged me. And of course, membahan orang di gym bersama-sama.

Cik Panda is soooo very the happy that I found a gym buddy! And we are planning for more workout sessions soon. We didn't go for supper or drinks afterward because both of us have prior plans with friends. 

He was wearing a shirt where it's written "She is" infront and "The One" at the back.

AWWwwwww. Berangan itu percuma.
