Fruits have calories too. They are just lower in calories but higher in vitamins and minerals per gram compared to other foods. Some foods have higher calorie due to its natural fruit sugar. Some fruits (is avocado considered a fruit?) have higher calorie content due to its natural plant fat. Here are some fruits and its calorie content (per 1/2 cup).
