Hygiene Hypothesis and Asthma

This is some serious topic.

Kind of.

Ye la uols. Kalau topik merapu merepek cerita pasal (mis)adventure Cik Panda, lajuuuuu je uols baca kan. Kalau topik informative, krik krik sangat viewers dia. Hihi

Anyway, have you heard of hygiene theory and it's relation to asthma?

What is Hygiene Hypothesis/theory?

Hygiene theory hypotheses that childhood exposure to germs and certain infections helps the immune system develop. '

This teaches the body to differentiate harmless substances from the harmful substances that trigger asthma.

In theory, exposure to certain germs teaches the immune system not to overreact.

Children growing up in rural areas, around animals and in larger families seem to develop asthma less often than other children.

According to the hygiene hypothesis, this is due to increased exposure to particular viruses, bacteria or parasites.

So basically, children who were more exposed to germs have better immune system.

Our immune system needs stimulants.

I personally think letting you child roll on the grass, run bare-footed on the field, played in the dirt, swim in the creek and run in the rain can be a good thing.

So what if they fall sick once in a while?
That was how we were brought up. Our parents let us played in the nature. Dirt, mud and some drain water. you name it.

Sure we got cuts, bruises and boils but we grew up strong and healthy.

It's kinda sad watching kids nowadays played with gadgets (it's amazing how a 2 year old kid can play with Ipad better than i do!), stayed in the house most of the time with parents so over-protective and scared of germs.

My best memories of childhood is of us siblings and cousins swam in the river for hours, paper boats in the drain when it rained, catching little fish in the drains.

Yeah. We played a lot in the drain.

Cheers to our awesome childhood!

Makanan Sebagai 'Metabolism Booster'?

Kenapa oatmeal mesti ada dalam senarai? Arghhhhh! Orang asyik sebut metabolism sana metabolism sini tapi uols tau tak apa itu metabolism? "Metabolism is the process by which your body converts what you eat and drink into energy, which your body needs to function."

Sikit Lagi Mau Jadi Hulk

I always consider myself to be a mild-mannered person. Sometimes people, especially those who doesn't really know me that well said they never saw me get angry. They described me as someone cool and calm. Most of the time, i don't get angry that easy but i'm human okay, i do get angry. When i'm annoyed, angry or plain moody, only those close to me knew, especially my dear friend, Anne  I don't have to say a word, she only need to look at my face. I used to think that i have a high patience-threshold but lately, i think something shifted and lowers the threshold. Last week i find myself super irritable, angry and snapped at those who annoys me. I don't know why of all the days, those friends all choose the same day to test my patience. I'm sorry i raised my voice at you guys :p Maybe i should do yoga or something to calm myself down . Or attend anger management courses. Or something like that... Ya, i look like that when i'm angry. All o...

The Perfect Staycation For An Introvert: The Saujana Hotel Kuala Lumpur, A Lush Sanctuary In The City

The Perfect Staycation For An Introvert: The Saujana Hotel Kuala Lumpur, A Lush Sanctuary In The City  I absolutely love staycations and almost always prefer places that are quiet, intimate with lots of greens.  Like a resort in the middle of the city. But to find one with an affordable rate in Kuala Lumpur city is quite a challenge. I happened to have a work-related thing in The Saujana Hotel and fell in love. Told myself that I will come back to spend a night (or two) here. The Saujana Hotel Kuala Lumpur Nestled in 160 hectares of lush gardens is a luxury resort-style hotel, located in the suburbs and next to a golf course somewhere in Subang/Shah Alam. It's the perfect place for a rejuvenating weekend when you want to be away from the hustle-bustle of the city but still located in the city. J ust minutes away from Subang Airport. I love that it's near to   Citta Mall , Subang Parade and Empire Subang Shopping Gallery .  So you know, I got a lot of F&B options...
