My Secret Fantasy Of Living Off The Grid
I have this secret fantasy of living off the grid. You know, like to disappear and living or doing something without people knowing. Unnoticed, incognito, anonymous. No paper trail, no electronic trail.
Totally untraceable.
Preferably in a lush jungle, on a mountain, where it's covered by mist every morning.

No, it's not like I have massive debts or hutang along that I have to run away from society.
It's just that I have this desire to be incognito. I guess being an introvert has something to do with this.
We live in a world where we are constantly watched and monitored. With the advancement of technology, we are easily reachable.

We live in a world where we are constantly watched and monitored. With the advancement of technology, we are easily reachable.
I remembered the good old days without handphones or smartphones, life was so much simpler back then.
Nowadays, your boss can even WhatsApp you at 12am and demand you to reply, even though it's out of the working hours.
Technology has allowed work to permeate into our personal time and life.
Anyway, no matter how hard you try, you can't completely disappear or go off the grid. Well, unless you are dead and I'm in no rush for that.
Whenever I'm on a break or thinking of places to go for a break, I'll always gravitate towards places where I can disconnect from the world. Places where people cannot reach me.
No phone lines, no internet, no connectivity. Not a peep.
Why am I like diss?!?
Am I the only one feeling this constant desire to disconnect? Ataupun sebenarnya, CPPS adalah seekor monyet yang suka tinggal di dalam hutan dan sering terpanggil untuk pulang ke habitat sebenar?

While most people immediately become anxious from this lack of connectivity with the world, I become calmer.
Some say they don't know what to do with all the void, which is often filled by the internet and social media.
I definitely could not relate to this problem. There is so much to do! You know, like sleep, or reading, cooking, baking, gardening, taking a walk, writing, some mini DIY projects, and stuff.

All my favourite thing in a picture |
Maybe it's my personality? Maybe because of aging syndrome that I appreciate solitude more now.
Albert Einstein even said "Solitude is painful when one is young, but delightful when one is more mature"
I'm not against the internet and technology.

It's a great tool if you use it responsibly. However, let's be reminded that technology has a power-off button. And the wisest of us know when to use it.
