I'm a pro dietary supplements and I believe the right supplementation programme can enhance your well being. 

A while ago I posted an entry about supplement HERE.
So what supplements am I personally taking?

A lot. Sampai housemate saya cakap 

"kau kan banyak ubat." 

And another friend lamented 

"peti ais orang lain penuh dengan makanan, peti ais you penuh supplement."

Eh harus lah. Weols kan nak sehat, cantik gojes mojes meletop kebabommmm.

Most of my supplements are anti-oxidants. 
Benefits of anti-oxidants you ask me? 

Many. I take it for anti-aging benefits.

Antioxidants is a group of nutrients that fight against free radicals in the body (usually resulted from normal physiological process such as breathing and exercise or external factors such as smoking or stress). 

These free radicals attack healthy cells.

So simply put, antioxidants protect against cell damage caused by free radicals. As diseases are often caused by damaged cells, antioxidants protect against diseases (heart, brain, eyes, including cancer).

I take Vitamin C, Grape Seed Extract, Alpha Lipoic Acid and Placenta/Stem cells. So there goes my how-I-stay-young secret.

I will not elaborate so much on Vitamin C because it is a well known vitamin and a potent water-soluble anti-oxidant.

2. Alpha Lipoic Acid - Click HERE. The coolest thing about ALA is it is both water and fat soluble anti-oxidant and can cross your blood-brain barrier to exert it's effect on brain cells. In Europe, ALA is used to treat diabetes to improve insulin sensitivity and reduces it's complications. It is also used in treatment of stroke and improve the prognosis.  

3. Placenta/Stem cells - I take sheep placenta and you might go "ewwww" but hey, it works for me and many others. Placenta is a source of growth factor and stem cells or baby cells. It's for renewal, regeneration and rejuvenating. The difference I noticed? My skin is glowing and I looked radiant. Your skin is an indicator of your internal system. When you are healthy inside, it shows on your skin first. 

Can you overdose on anti-oxidants?

You are exposed to free-radicals everyday and safe to say you need anti-oxidants everyday. 

Some expect miracles and want to see result right away. It does not work like that. 

Anti-oxidants or supplements in general need time to work. You might not see it now but 5-10 years down the line, you'll be thankful that you take anti-oxidants or supplements.

You'll have better immune system, better energy and you'll look better than people who are not taking anything. 

How has it worked for me so far?

I would say that in the past year, I don't get fever and even if I get cough, cold, flu or sore throat (which is very rare), I recover within 3 days. The only MC i took last year was to extract my wisdom tooth. 

And i don't look my age. *fliphair

It's all synthetic and artificial you say and has lots of side effects?

Then tell me why you don't think twice about smoking, shisha or chug down beer and alcohol like nobody's business? Or drink soda, eat junk food like your life depended on it?

With supplements, you have to do some trial and error because each and everyone of us is unique. 

Our body works differently. You have to understand your body well to find out what works best for you.

 Sunlight Suite: Introvert's Heaven In Cameron Highland I told myself I'll not revisit Cameron Highlands since it became so crowded, busy, and overdeveloped in recent years. Mesti uols pernah makan avocado kan? Buah avocado ni mula digemari ramai sejak kita masuk era "healthy eating". 10 tahun lepas, susah jugak nak jumpa avocado.
